dont you dare brake the cycling rules. dork.

i had done nothing all day. except get out of bed at 12, eat some lunch, go to an appointment and pop into staples, watch a movie, play guitar and eat dinner. therefore as you can imagine, i felt incredibly lazy (no offence if this is a busy day for you ).

i told my mum that i was going to go on a bike ride and she said i should wait until she finished working and then she will show me a new bike route. fair enough, i thought. it may be embarrassing going with her but at least i would get to know a new route. well, i regreted agreeing to go with her since she walked down stairs. not to metion she was wearing MY stripey orange top, MY shorts, MY leggins and even MY shoes!! and just to make it worse, none of it matched. she knew how stupid she looked. i think she just did it to embarrass me even more. regreting deciding to go with her i got down her bike and put the wheel on it, and also got mine down.

i think she overestimated herself a little. because as we rode up all the hills and even on the flat surface she seemed to be going at 1mile per hour, if that. i decided i would stop at the top of every hilly bit to check she was ok, because im nice like that. but that changed on the last hill. i just went off without her. but its ok, she told me i should. she kept returning to the excuse that she had been on a long run this morning and also that she was a runner not a cycler. i just laughed.

she even broke some of the cycling rules. number 1, dont embarrass other people or yourself whilst cycling. number 2, do NOT talk unless it has something to do with directions. 3, try to avoid your bike making funny, annoying noises. 4, press the button at pedestrian crossings, instead of guessing when to cross roads. and number 5, alway cycle prepared. infact, she broke ALL these rules. to make it even worse, she starting singing the teletubbies theme song. one word, emarrassing. despite being furious at her, i just had to laugh in the end.

so once we FINALLY arrived back home, we looked at how many miles we had done. 7 miles it came to. you cant call me lazy now. i did learn one thing from today. NEVER, do take my mum on a bike ride. ever.
